Activities
There are many things to do once you’ve arrived in Mauritius. There are the glorious white sandy beaches to explore, but if you can tear yourself away from them, there are many other attractions around the island. There are plenty of water sports to take advantage of.
You can view the beautiful reefs in a semi submersible boat at Grande Baie Reef, or you may simply want to simply sample the idyllic golf courses, with spectacular views out to sea. Children will love La Vanille Crocodile Park and the Waterpark Leisure Village. There are many day trips that you can take advantage of, or simply hire a car and explore Mauritius for yourself!
The Best Time to Go
March through to December is considered to be the high season, when temperatures are high but rainfall is considerably lower than in January or February.
A twelve hour flight from the UK, the main language spoken is English, but you will also hear Creole, French, Hindi and Urdu. The currency is the Mauritian Rupee.
