There are plenty of hotels to choose form both around the Island. From the 3* Escape at the Gap in lively St Lawrence Gap, to the all inclusive 4* Mango Bay on the west coast, there is something for everyone’s budget. If you fancy some pampered luxury, the world famous Sandy Lane is also situated on the beautiful west coast.

Things to Do

There are many things to do once you’ve arrived Barbados. There are the glorious white sandy beaches to explore, but if you can tear yourself away from them, there are many other attractions around the island. The Friday night Oistin’s Fish Fry is a must – get together with the hundreds of locals to enjoy the very best local fresh food, fried and grilled fish, fish cakes, sweet potato and much more!

You may wish to visit one of the many plantation houses, enjoy the horse racing at the Garrison Savannah or simply relax, taking in a cricket match at the Kensington Oval. There are also many boat trips and water sports on offer including snorkelling.

The calm clear waters of the west coast are perfect for this. There are many day trips that you can take advantage of, or simply hire a car and explore Barbados for yourself!

The Best Time to Go

December through to April is considered to be the high season, when temperatures are high but rainfall is considerably lower than the summer months. A nine hour flight from the UK, the main language spoken is English and the currency is the Barbados dollar, although American dollars are widely accepted.
