Europe One Way Car Hire?

I am looking to travel to Europe several times this year. I would like to do a couple of one way car hire trips, ie fly into one airport pick up a car then fly out of a different airport and dropping off the rental car.
I have no real preference to locations as long as it is a able to be done in a relaxing weekend.
Any advice?
Companies used?
Money saving ideas?

All of the major rental companies will allow you to do one ways but only on a per country basis, not continent wide.

Does anybody know of any car hire firm which will allow you to drive it across Europe? I want to drive from Italy to the UK on a one way trip – any ideas?

The big car rentals usually allow to go with their car wherever you want, if you take a special insurance police and explain your travel plans while booking. Also they give you only cars like Ford Focus, Opel Astra or Fiat Bravo or smaller. Many more exclusive brands like AUDI, BMW, Volvo or Mercedes they will not give you at all to go to Eastern Europe.

What car hire companies are within Larnaca (Cyprus) airport, without need for me to get on a bus to car depot? I have a young family and I heard that Budget was a long (nightmare) bus ride away from the airport

eurocar are fairly good and can be booked on line before arrival.Most have an office inside the terminal but make sure you get fully comp ins as often they do not do it automatically.Also ,be aware that if you have an accident and you are to blame then you are not insured!This is something they will not tell you but is correct so check for yourself before booking.

im travelling from LA to Seattle in june and want to travel by car up the pacific coast highway, most places ive looked have a $400 one hire fee. does anyone know of any decent but cheap one way hire companies? or have any other suggestions of how to get around? thanks

They are all pretty much the same you will find but i found the best deals were to get one when you are there rather than pre-booking. The larger companies think nothing of one way hire and airport to another airport works well.
Never done that drive, yet, but it is one on my list. A bike would be better for me though.
